Abstract

In 2023 I returned to the research I started when I was a student in the Netherlands, in those days what I found, what I had to say seemed relevant. During the pandemic I reopened a file in my computer named Signor Ignazio, a recount of information about two namesake musicians that flourished at the beginning of the eighteenth century in Italy: Ignazio Sieber (1688-1761) & Ignatio Rion (fl.1704-1734). Throughout the confinement I thought and planned my next move, even wandered with the idea of a doctorate somewhere in Europe. The file helped me reflect and reason, paving the way of a space from the past in the midst of a near future. Reviewing those paragraphs from another life forced me to value who I was, assess who I can be at my learning attempts. Today in meditative and spiral mode, I herewith present these pages, a cycle of timeless ideas open in full debate ‘still-life’ still alive.
